Terms of Service

Treatment Season

Our Service season runs from approximately Mid May to early October, depending on weather conditions that affect mosquito and tick life cycle. All of the treatments purchased in your package will be delivered during this season time range.

Service Cycle

We will do our best to deliver all of the treatment services specific in your package at 14-day intervals. Due to unpredictable weather patterns and statutory holidays, your 14-day service cycle is approximate and services may be delivered earlier or later.

Appointment Scheduling

You do not need to be home when your treatment services are completed. We will attempt to inform you by your preferred methods of communication (email, text or phone) about your upcoming appointments. We can’t guarantee a specific and consistent appointment date or time. If there is a special circumstance(ie: a special event on your property) that would prevent us from completing our services on a certain day, you must give us 48 hours notice so that your Services can be rescheduled.

Service Timing

We reserve the right to deliver your Services between 8am and 9pm, 7 days a week, including holidays, but services are typically completed on weekdays during business hours.

Service Delays

Mosquito Toronto is not responsible or liable for delays in the commencement or completion of the Services that are the result of conditions beyond our control (including for weather, equipment failure or a supplier’s inability to provide materials).

Service Effectiveness

There are conditions beyond the Service Provider’s control that may impact the effectiveness of our Services. Examples include excessive rain, proximity to excessive amounts of standing water and large amounts of dense foliage and long grass.

Access to Property

To deliver our Services, we will need to access all areas of your property, which includes around any deck or outbuildings. On rare occasion, our technicians may require the use of a customer’s freshwater garden hose (if available) to mix required treatment products.

Pets, Children and Adults

Pets, children and adults should remain indoors while our technicians are treating your property. Please refer to the post-service guidelines for reentry time periods.

Signage

Mosquito Toronto may be required to post a Ministry of the Environment approved treatment notices on the front of your property that inform the public about the services that have been provided. This must stay in place as per the post-service guidelines. A Mosquito Toronto sign may be posted on your property before, during and after your services. If you would prefer not to have a sign, please let us know.

Post Service Guidelines

After your first treatment service, we will provide a list of post-service guidelines. The guidelines outline the re-entry period, signage requirements and homeowner recommendations. It is the homeowner’s responsibility to read and follow these guidelines after each service treatment.

Payments

All payments are final and non-refundable. You must notify us of a change of payment method a minimum of 48 hours before your next payment is due.

Sales Tax

All Services are subject to 13% HST.

It is important that you read and understand our Company Promise. If you are not satisfied with our Services, please notify us of your concerns as soon as possible. We will respond quickly to your concerns and discuss various solutions and options that we have to remedy your concerns.

Referral Program

We offer referral rewards to our active customers that refer new business to use. To receive a referral rewards, referees must purchase and pay for a prime time for full season treatment package. Referrals must be logged using our website referral form or email.

Renewals

Renew offers are presented to customers at the end of the Service season. Customers must accept a renewal offer by the listed deadlines to receive discounts.

Disclaimer and Indemnity

In consideration of the services performed under this Service Agreement, the undersigned agrees to indemnify and forever hold Mosquito Toronto and its agents harmless for any damages or claims resulting from or arising out of the delivery of such Services.
